The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s Team in Training (TNT) is participating in The Broad Street 10-Miler. We are holding a Broad Street Launch on Tuesday, February 23th at Aflac Regional Office in Aston. Get all the supplies you need to get started and be reminded of the true reason you are participating in this event - to make a difference in the lives of patients and families battling blood cancer. If you still have questions about the program or want to get friends/family involved, please join us on the 23th so we can help you in anyway possible.

TEXAS HOLD ‘EM to BENEFIT POMC

The Parents Of Murdered Children (POMC) will be holding a TEXAS HOLD ‘EM TOURNAMENT on Sunday January 17, 2010 at the IBEW Local 654 Union Hall in Boothwyn, Pa.
Registration is from noon till 12:45. Cards start at 1:00pm. Snacks and refreshments (beer and soda) will be provided to players.
Fee is $50.00 per person.
Cash prizes (based on 50 players) are $750, $200 and $50. The more players registering, the higher the cash prizes.
All proceeds benefit the DELCO POMC 2010 Conference. Questions, call 610-721-4185.

Come out and support “Herre’s Gang” at a beef and beer being held at Dexter’s on the Five in Aston. Herre’s Gang is participating in “Walk Now for Autism” sponsored by Autism Speaks in September. The team will be walking in support of Stephen Herre, son of Bob and Donna Herre. Bob and Donna are long time residents of Aston township and Bob’s served as a township Firefighter for several years and is currently Fire Chief of Green Ridge.
The beef and beer is being held on Sat. Aug 15th from 7p-11p at Dexter’s. Tickets are $25.00. There will be a DJ, food, beer and dancing.
